Meet Ashley
Ashley Serrao is a writer, producer and actor out of Santa Fe, NM. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in L.A. with an honors degree in Screenwriting and has since been writing and acting in tv and film.
Most recently, the short film she cowrote, "Ushering the Light," was shot remotely during the pandemic. The film premiered at the 2022 Portland Film Festival is currently available for purchase on Amazon Prime. Her original television pilot, "Becoming French," was a semi-finalist at the 2021 BlueCat Screenplay Competition, the Outstanding Screenplay Competition and the Creative World Awards. The script was also a quarter-finalist at the LA Int'l Screenplay Competition. She is currently pitching the script for production. Her award winning female driven western pilot, "Vicious Kin", is currently in the pitching process. In 2016 she wrote, produced and acted in the short film "Dinner Guest" that world premiered at Austin Film Festival and played at numerous well regarded film festivals around the world (deadCenter, Cannes Short Film Corner to name a few). The film has been translated into several different languages and is currently distributed online through soft.tv and more widely accessible through Gravitas Ventures. From 2019-2020, she wrote short form fiction romantic comedies for the well loved podcast "Meet Cute." Ashley is a SAG-eligible actor and her recent credits include the powerful commercial for Reform Alliance which has over 425K views on You Tube. She was also in "The Long Dumb Road" with Jason Mantzoukas, Kat Candler's "Hellion" and Alejandro Montoya's indie favorite "Monday". As an actor she has a vast range but is known for her quick thinking mind and big heart. When she isn't acting and writing her own original material, she edits screenplays and teaches on the art and craft of screenwriting. |
